TESTIMONIALS

After having two children in my mid-thirties, and desiring to get back to my previous physique, I decided to research the use of a personal trainer. I have always maintained an active lifestyle, but with the additional responsibilities of motherhood and a more demanding schedule, I found myself needing a more effective workout within a tighter schedule.

After visiting several of the options available in our local community and being disappointed with their lack of understanding of my personal goals and cookie-cutter approach I finally found Precision Personal Training. My decision to choose PTT was made after considering the professionalism of Angie and her staff, their holistic approach to considering all aspects of health and fitness, and their understanding of my goals. After all, if you are going to hire a personal trainer to help you meet your goals, they should really understand those goals.

When I started working with Steve Morrison, we began by setting specific goals, he developed a plan and finally set a target date. Each week we worked hard, discussed my progress, and reviewed my personal commitment and progress toward my goals. I am thrilled to say, that I not only have met my goals, I have now exceeded them!

My first experience engaging a personal trainer at PTT to help me achieve my health and fitness goals has been an excellent one. I would recommend their services and dedication to anyone who wants to begin living the lifestyle they desire.

I had gastric bypass surgery in May of 2006.  I knew in order for the surgery to be successful in the long term I would not only need to change my relationship with food, I would need to change my relationship with exercise.  Despite my size, I was always fairly active – hiking, walking, biking – but there was no consistency to my physical routine.  I found gym settings intimidating and overwhelming.  Having a trainer would be key for me in sticking with my long term goals, but it still meant walking into an environment that made me uncomfortable and I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to get past that fear to make the long term commitment it required.

I heard a commercial for Precision Personal Training on the radio and learned about their offer for a fitness assessment and three free training sessions.  I was ready to give it a try without having to commit to complicated long term contracts.  A simple step just to test the waters.  I met the owner Angie for my fitness assessment.  She put me at ease and my initial anxiety quickly faded.   Angie spoke to me about my surgery and my goals and paired me with a trainer she felt I would be comfortable with based on that discussion.  I met Kathleen for my three free training sessions and knew I found the perfect fit for my fitness needs.  The setting at Precision Training was ideal for me – intimate, one on one relationship with my trainer without feeling like I was on display for everyone else in the facility.  If I was going to keep a long term commitment to an exercise routine, I knew having scheduled appointments with a trainer would make me walk through that door each time.

I had to be responsible to someone else because I knew I would quickly find the excuses not to make that trip to the gym.  I’ve been working with Kathleen since October of 2006 and I find I now actually look forward to those appointments.  I don’t need to psyche myself up into going to workout – I actually enjoy it.  Having the surgery I knew the weight would come off, but including the exercise has greatly improved my strength and endurance.  Now I can’t imagine not making a gym workout part of my routine.  Angie and Kathleen have been incredibly supportive and encouraging throughout my transformation and making the decision to test the waters at Precision Personal Training was the best decision I made in changing my long term commitment to a healthier life.

In December I was searching for a new place to work out. I checked out many places in Tucson and my sister told me about a new place by Costco on Grant called P.P.T. so since I always listen to my sister I stopped by and I have to say was impressed from the moment I walked in the door and knew this was the place for me.

I was greeted by the owner Angie, given a tour of the facility and then sat down to talk about what I was looking for in a work out program. No only did Angie "really" listen to what I was looking for, she spent and hour with me going over an exercise routine that would fit my needs. She talked about the right foods to eat. And then came the time for the all hated measurements. What a in-depth process, weigh in, body fat composition, weight lifting ability and blood pressure, to name a few. Once that was done the fun began, we set up a work out time and then it was up to me.

On my first day I was introduced to my trainer, Julie, who is a gem. With the encouragement of Julie after five weeks I have lost weight (and have kept it off), reduced my body fat by 5% and lowered my blood pressure. This may not sound like much to some, but to me it is awesome, these are things I have not been able to do in a very long time. I know I could have not accomplished so much in such a short time without the help of Angie and Julie.
